Perservation of Glaciers

The injection bars offer us the ability to fuse natural snow homogeneously with the existing snow pack or glacier.

The snow surface is brought to the desired volume weight with the injection bar and then covered with our insulating foil mat.

The extremely white color, the unusually high UV reflection and the water impermeability are important for all variations of our insulating film mat.  In addition, this insulating foil mat remains unchanged over several seasons and can be easily removed at the end of the summer. In the interests of sustainability, the cover has been produced in such a way that it can be reused for many years.

In this fashion, a glacier or snow storage is groomed and then covered with the special cover foil that limits the loss of mass to only approx. 15%  to 30% in summer.
